ST JOSEPH’S CHEPTIL MIXED SECONDARY SCHOOL
St Joseph’s cheptil secondary School is a Public county mixed day school in Nzoia Sub-location, Cherangany Location, Cherangany Division in Trans-Nzoia East Sub County, Trans-Nzoia County. The school is located 4Km from Kachibora center along Ziwa- kitale road.
The School was first established by Tunen Primary school in 2006 but due to lack of human resources it collapsed and was closed down in 2008.Later with the help of former area Member of Parliament cherangany, Hon Joshua Kutuny the school was restarted in the year 2009. The school started with 1 student and later with the help of the former Member of Parliament it increased up to 60 students in form 1.There were four teachers and a principal.The school is sponsored by Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK).
The school started as a single streamed and has remained as a single streamed up to date.
The school was registered in 2009 and continued with its pioneer students sitting for KCSE examination in 2012. The school has presented candidates for KCSE since its inception and has continued to improve its performance.
The school has a 4 acre piece of land and half of it is under school building and the rest for games facilities. The school has five classrooms an administration block an a school twin laboratory.
